Transport

Huddersfield has a train station with trains running to Leeds, Manchester, Liverpool, Newcastle, Sheffield and Bradford making it easy to get around! There is also a bus station with buses running regularly to surrounding areas and towns.

History

Local Settlement dates back over 4000 years. Castle Hill, a major Landmark was the site of an Iron Age Hill Fort. The Remains of a Roman fort were unearthed in the mid 18th Century at Slack near Outland, west of the town.
