Now celebrating their 27th year, the Manchester Christmas Markets have become one of the UK’s most loved festive traditions. Each winter, the heart of the city glows with festive lights, wooden stalls and the unmistakable aroma of mulled wine.

With more than 200 stalls spread across nine locations, visitors can explore everything from handmade gifts and Christmas decorations to international street food and artisan crafts. Whether you’re shopping for unique presents, indulging in festive treats or simply enjoying the cheerful atmosphere, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

This year’s Manchester Christmas Markets open on Friday 7th November and run until Monday 22nd December. The festive fun doesn’t stop there though — A Taste of Christmas at Albert Square and the stalls at Cathedral Gardens will stay open right through the holidays until 4 January 2026.

This year, the Manchester Christmas Markets will once again take over the city centre, filling the streets with festive cheer. Visitors can explore more than 200 stalls spread across some of Manchester’s most iconic locations, including:

Skate Manchester Ice Rink

If you’re looking to add a little extra sparkle to your visit, head to the Skate Manchester Ice Rink at Cathedral Gardens. Open from 8th November to 1st January, this covered rink is the perfect way to enjoy a festive skate beneath twinkling lights — whatever the weather.
